Video: Banned UN Speech: "Human Rights Nightmare"

Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of UN Watch, states his opinions in a brillant (and educated) manner. Hillel's views infuriate the council president Luis Alfonso De Alba, who threatens to remove Neuer’s statements from the record.

The council president, in the UN's 50th anniversary, seeks to censor a well-funded statement from a UN Human Rights-critics.

De Alba must have been thinking "don't like it, don't want it" and ignores The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, article 19:

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

According to the UN HR there's no need to examine the human right situation in Iran:
Geneva (AsiaNews/Agencies) – The United Nations Human Rights Council has decided to drop its examination of human rights violations in Iran and Uzbekistan. The step followed a recommendation by most of the five states overseeing the special procedure against Iran and Uzbekistan, which are suspected of violating the human rights of their respective populations.

Council president Luis Alfonso de Alba said the 47-member council has decided "not to continue the examination of the situation" in the two countries, but gave no further details.
Which means they've decided it is not necessary to monitor this:
Moreover, a group promoting human rights for Iran's Kurdish minority has sounded an alarm over the sentence of death imposed on five Kurdish Iranian women. One of the women, Mohabbat Mahmoudi, was condemned to death by hanging for allegedly murdering a man who tried to rape her. Another, Malek Shamameh Ghorbani, a mother of two young children, has been sentenced to death by stoning because she allegedly had an extra- marital affair.
Stoning is OK?
